ITIL, which enables IT services to support one or more business units by managing IT services, is a system of best practices (  best practices) is a library created by bringing together and collecting experiences. In addition to stating that ITIL philosophy is at the core of the standards that maintain their validity all over the world, it is also possible to state that ITIL is the basis of the ISO 20000 standard, which is the first standard of the International Standards Organisation on the use of information technology service management.

Although it is a management system suitable for all companies and organisations in the sector, the 20000-1 Information Technology Service Management System (ITMS), which is included in the ISO 20000 standard series, is a reference standard for information technology companies to establish service management systems and has been created to enable them to manage their processes.
